Dear Friends,
As the busy holiday season begins and 2019 draws to an end, I’ve been reflecting on all the events and blessings of this year (see gratitude list). At the top of my list are all those who have supported this ministry through giving their time, resources, and participation. I recently asked some of our participants, “What keeps you coming to Conversations?” Here are a few responses:
As a new resident to Edmond, Conversations has helped me become connected to a local spiritual growth network. The community is both welcoming and engaging. It offers a variety of courses that help stimulate a rich and valuable experience of life.—P. F.
Coming to Conversations feeds my soul. It satisfies my inner searching and pondering, resulting in self- discovery, awakening, and awareness. Every class I attend is like a new transformation that gives me new life deepening my love of self and God. Thank you for blessing me! – K.H.
Mostly I treasure the bonds of acceptance and friendship that I have developed from being with like-minded, kindred spirits. I love this place! – C.L.
As a heart-centered community, Conversations provides a “living room of grace” where questioning, wondering, and contemplating are encouraged as we honor one another’s individual journey. We are all spiritual beings having a human experience as we explore our deepest questions: ”Who is God?” “Who am I?” and “What is my purpose?” Hopefully throughout our life our answers evolve from fear based thoughts and beliefs to those rooted in Divine Love.
Much of what we offer at Conversations is intended to address our emotional struggles, self-limiting beliefs, the need to control and judge others. These all stem from fear. As our fears dissolve we are free to love ourselves and extend this same acceptance and lovingkindness to all. I am so blessed because I see this kind of love expressed and demonstrated regularly within our Conversations community. Now imagine a world where love replaces fear. A love that does no harm to its neighbor, and sees the dignity and worth of every person. There would not only be peace on earth, but unity and cooperation as we work together to solve the world’s challenges for the highest good of all people everywhere and for our planet.
The day the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace. - Gandhi
2020 will mark our 12th year of providing a place and programs to help expand our vision of a loving and compassionate world. These opportunities for spiritual and emotional growth would not have happened without the many individuals who have generously given to this ministry. We are deeply grateful for every person and every donation. Once again we invite you to consider TBC Ministries as you plan your year-end giving. Year-end donations allow us to plan and budget for another year. Thank you for making it possible for TBC Ministries to provide a safe and welcoming space for others to experience life changing opportunities!
May your heart be filled with love, gratitude and joy as you spend precious time with family and friends!
With love and gratitude,
Renee Brunette, Director
