The Inner Work of Age is a tool for anyone living the last decades of their lives, particularly those who are leaving behind families, careers and other forms of identity and moving into an uncertain future. The Inner Work of Age is a tool for anyone living the last decades of their lives, particularly those who are leaving behind families, careers and other forms of identity and moving into an uncertain future. It offers us ian inspiring roadmap to uncover our motivations for what we do with our precious long lives. As author, Connie Zweig points out, "It isn’t easy to age well when a human life is viewed as a problem to be solved." What we need is a more life giving inner experience. Getting older is a challenge, but it can also be a joy.

Connie also shows us how to re-imagine life as a purpose-filled elder who is available to others. This transformation of moving “from hero to elder, and role to soul” can be extremely difficult. It means letting go of the ego’s agenda and embracing new beginnings. But we don't have to go it alone! This book is not just for the reading, it is an experiential workbook to guide us to finally grow into who we truly are. This study may be for you if you . . . feel lost or disoriented, unable to see what’s next for you wish to give forgiveness or to be forgiven seek a new meaning and purpose for this stage of life long for something more, such as more self-love, inner peace, or joy, then you can find it here.

Bold as these may be, they held true for me as I journeyed through this book. If you’re up for an adventure, I would love to have you join me and see where you are led. - Karen
