There have been times when all of us have needed an objective soul friend to whom we can freely share our concerns and struggles with confidence that we will be heard without judgment. At TBC Ministries we offer SoulCare and Spiritual Direction to meet this need.
What is Soul Care Counseling?
Soul Care addresses and strengthens the inner workings one’s spiritual, emotional and relational health. Soul Care involves listening to another’s inner struggle with the desire to hear and address the deeper issues of the heart and mind with compassion and love . This type of counseling can help bring freedom from the toxic thoughts, behavioral patterns, emotional struggles and identity issues create inner suffering and hinder one from experiencing their true self as God created them.
Our Soul Care program involves a specific process that includes both understanding the presenting issues or concerns, personal history, and the core blocks to inner peace, joy and freedom. Soul Care can help a person who is willing to be honest and seeking truth, to gain greater clarity about their real needs and the “inner work,” that is theirs to do, in order to experience freedom and transformation. We believe that it is this inner transformation that brings lasting change in the major areas of life, relationships, and behavior. God wants all to experience an abundant life of love, joy, peace which the Holy Spirit graciously provides.
Soul Care begins with an initial appointment where your needs and expectations will be evaluated and the process of SoulCare will be explained. Typically you will meet weekly with your Soul Care Director for the first 4-6 weeks. Once a clear personalized plan is agreed upon, the frequency of your appointment will taper down to every other week, then monthly, or as needed. An average length for Soul Care counseling is six months.
Cost
Everyone desires to live a happy and fulfilled life and everyone needs support for the spiritual journey. It is our desire to make Soul Care available to all, therefore, we offer it on a donation basis. Donations for each session are made directly to your Soul Care Director. A typical donation for each Soul Care session is from $25-$40. However, do not let lack of funds prevent you from getting the help you seek; a workable solution will be found that is agreeable to all.
