What is A Course in Miracles?

A Course In Miracles is a self study spiritual path leading to inner peace through a practice of true forgiveness. It is not the same forgiveness we have been taught by the world. The forgiveness Jesus teaches us through the Course is a process that releases ultimately all attachment to the material or ego based dualistic world. This results in an experience of oneness which in its purist form is what we call pure non-dualism..

We are then able to make choices that lead us from pain to peace; from fear to love with renewed confidence in our ability to hear Divine guidance. We rediscover peace. We rediscover oneness with God and humanity. Gradually we are released from judgments that have blinded us to the awareness of Love’s presence in our experience.

The Course presents as a spiritual psychotherapy that is designed to gently guide us through a process of self-examination where we are able to recognize and let go of the ‘false self’ or ego with its limitations. Without the distractions or blocks created by the ego we become free to remember our true identity with the Divine where only Love is real. We examine how it is that we came to identify with an ego that sees itself as separate from God and humanity.

Although A Course In Miracles is designed for self study, due to the challenging nature of the material many students at one time or another find it helpful to study in groups.

My personal desire for inner peace served as the catalyst leading me to A Course In Miracles In 1986. It has been my anchor ever since. Why is it so important? The answer can be found in an excerpt from the Course’s Workbook. I invite you to read it. Draw your own conclusion.
