Deeper Connections

You are invited to our monthly mini-retreat, DEEPER CONNECTIONS unnamed-2  Friday, November 11th, 10 am - 12:30 pm

Deeper Connections is a contemplative mini-retreat to renew and refresh our spirits through meditation, mindfulness exercises, simple art making, writing and a time of sharing. Together we explore themes of relevance to our day to day lives that invite us into a deeper connection with God, ourselves, and one another.

Our theme this month is "Walking with Gratitude."

"The discipline of gratitude is the explicit effort to acknowledge
that all I am and have is given to me as a gift of love,
a gift to be celebrated with joy."
- Henri Nouwen

Reminded by the colors of change around us, we will practice the discipline of gratitude during this season of 'letting go.' It all comes down to Love... in a discipline of gratitude, I love more and fret less.
I can't wait to be with you on Friday, November 11th. I trust we will receive many gifts from the Spirit and celebrate them with joy ... as we always do!

There is no charge for this event. It is freely given due to the generosity of those who support this ministry. Feel free to invite a friend.
Please RSVP as size is limited.

I loved the workshop! I came that day dealing with such emotional stress! I needed peace desperately! The guided meditation brought such peace to my heart! It helped me see Jesus holding out his arms with love and understanding. I was able to walk into his arms and give him my burdens regarding my family. Jesus reminded me that he would never leave me or forsake me! Jesus was there in middle of my depression and pain! Jesus called me a flower in God’s garden! I left with such peace in my heart! I knew that Jesus was in the eye of the storm giving me strength to carry on!! I felt such love from the father! I know that he is with me in the storm I’m facing and that he is holding my hand as I walk through this valley of my soul! I’m God’s child and he loves me!! Kim Vorva

I have had the privilege of participating in two of the Deeper Connection Play Shops offered at Conversations and, given the choice, I wouldn’t want to miss a single one. It is surprising what comes out of them and the impression they leave on my soul that is often remembered long after the time there has so quickly passed. It gives me the opportunity to show up, be, receive, and give…all of which can happen everyday in a million little ways (and hopefully does) but this is like accepting an invitation to a party! It’s out of the ordinary, something I plan on and anticipate, something I get to share with others, and something thoughtfully prepared for me to celebrate communion with Papa and my sisters. I find it to be joyful and free, with nothing to feel inhibited about. Everything is on an invitational basis so you have absolute freedom in your choices to respond or remain silent. It is full of love and acceptance and stretches me in a most beautiful way. The value far outweighs the cost for me. I am blessed and thankful God has orchestrated my life in such a way that my path has crossed with women such as these, for such a time as this! He has PLANS! : D And they are marvelous! Come join us!
